About the IT Graduate programme
The programme is an intense sequence of continuous challenges providing you with a broad range of skills within the area of IT - from Development, Project preparation and execution and implementation of IT solutions that make a difference for our Business.
Within the two-year programme, you will have three rotations within the IT organisation. In each rotation, you will be given a full position with clear responsibilities for assigned tasks. The flow and content of the rotations will be prioritized according to the business needs and to ensure your future development and aspirations.
Examples of potential rotations:
Working as a Process or Solution Consultant will provide you with a thorough understanding of our business and it will require you to be able to help us identify issues and opportunities and find the right solutions for an ever faster moving business environment. To succeed in this role, we will provide you with the opportunity to get hands-on experience with state-of-the-art SAP versions, cloud technology and potential new emerging technologies like IoT.
Working as a Project Manager, you will be working with all aspects of Project Management - from project initiation with planning and budgeting to managing the delivery stages with build, test and roll-out. Given the complexity of our projects, it will typically include cross-team coordination, managing agreements with 3rd party suppliers, risk assessment, cost monitoring and facilitation of the Steering Group with members from the Top Management of Salling Group.
We are looking for the right mix of personal and professional skills. If you can identify with the skills outlined below, then you might be our next IT Graduate.
- You have recently graduated or are about to graduate with a master´s degree well above average.
- You have relevant work experience either gained during your studies or you have up to a maximum of one year's full time experience after your graduation.
- You have excellent language skills in English - fluent both spoken and written.
- You are ambitious, goal oriented and highly motivated and committed to succeed.
- You have analytical skill with the ability to understand complex problems and identify alternative solutions and you work well under pressure.
- You are able to deliver high-quality results on time.
- You thrive in a role with many different stakeholders, and you have above average communicational skills and an open mind allowing you to work and communicate with colleagues in many departments and on various levels of the company.
- You might have a natural interest and curiosity about emerging technologies.
Being a Graduate at Salling Group
We will make sure we challenge you from day one and give you the opportunity to use your theoretical knowledge and transform this into operational skills by giving you daily tasks and project work with clear responsibilities for deliveries and deadlines. Throughout the programme, you will participate in different learning modules together with graduates from other functional areas.

During the programme, you will be based at Salling Group's headquarter in Aarslev near Aarhus.
Salling Group uses analysis and profiling tools as part of our recruitment and assessment process. If we find your background and application interesting we will invite you to take part in the assessment for the graduate position.
On the basis of application, profile and tests results, final candidates will be invited to participate in Salling Group's Case Competition on 7th February 2019 in the afternoon/evening.
