About the Finance Graduate programme
The two-year programme is an intense sequence of continuous challenges providing you with a broad range of skills all the while you are part of a professional Finance team that always strive to provide financial, fact-based insight that will drive Salling Group forward.
You will have at least three rotations within the Finance organization as well as two short placements in the frontline to understand our business and value chain in depth. As a Finance Graduate, you will get the opportunity to use the knowledge you gained during your studies and transform this into operational financial skills.In each rotation, you will be given a full position with clear responsibilities for assigned tasks.
Your assignments will cover the full range of tasks from hands-on execution of functional tasks to analyses, follow-up on activities, support to the management team, project participation and potentially project management. The flow and content of the rotations will be prioritized according to the business needs and to ensure your future development.
We are looking for the right mix of personal and professional skills. If you can identify yourself in the skills outlined below, then you might be our next Finance Graduate.
- You have recently graduated or are about to graduate with a master´s degree well above average.
- You have relevant work experience either gained during your studies or you have up to a maximum of one year's full time experience after your graduation.
- You have excellent language skills in English - fluent both spoken and written - and strong Excel skills.
- Retail or other FCGM experience through work or studies as well as SAP experience are an advantage.
- You are ambitious, goal oriented and highly motivated and committed to succeed.
- You have an business mind-set, strong analytical skills and you work well under pressure.
- You are able to deliver high-quality results on time.
- You thrive in a role with many different stakeholders, and you have above average communicational skills and an open and agile mindset allowing you to work and communicate with colleagues in many departments and on various levels of the company.
Being a Graduate at Salling Group
We will make sure we challenge you from day one and give you the opportunity to use your theoretical knowledge and transform this into operational financial skills by giving you daily tasks and project work with clear responsibilities for deliveries and deadlines. Throughout the programme, you will participate in different learning modules together with graduates from other functional areas.

During the programme, you will be based at Salling Group's headquarter in Aarslev near Aarhus. The programme might also include short placements at other locations.
Salling Group uses analysis and profiling tools as part of our recruitment and assessment process. If we find your background and application interesting we will invite you to take part in the assessment for the graduate position.
On the basis of application, profile and tests results, final candidates will be invited to participate in Salling Group's Case Competition on 7th February 2019 in the afternoon/evening.
