Senior Communicator, Group Internal and Leadership Communication, any Nordic country

We are looking for a Senior Communicator with at least 5 years proven experience in change and leadership communication. This is an opportunity for you to support leaders in driving change and an uplift in leadership communication across Nordea.

It's an exciting time to be joining Nordea. Group Communication and Branding (GCB) is making strategic changes to strengthen communication across Nordea, improve our brand across all markets and build strong employee engagement. We're now ready to take the next step in building a strong leadership and change communication set-up, while supporting our large-scale strategic programmes.

Your future responsibilities

You will join the Programme and Transformation communication team; a small group of passionate professionals within Group Internal and Leadership communication (GILC) responsible for driving change and leadership communications across Nordea.

You will be responsible for managing, driving, and delivering the communication agenda for Group change and leadership programmes, in line with the broader GILC priorities, while ensuring clear and consistent messaging internally and externally. You already possess in-depth professional knowledge of communication and are experienced in advising and driving strategic communication from a similar position in a fast-paced, demanding and global environment.

In this role, you as the Senior Communicator, will be working in a high-performance culture, while nurturing a network of important stakeholders. This role calls for an experienced communicator, able to navigate in a complex organisation and highly aware of key priorities and responsibilities.

You will report directly to Head of Programme & Transformation Communication. You will have close interaction with leaders and stakeholders working across the Nordics and Poland.

In this role, you will:
  • Drive, implement and act as an advisor for strategic change communication projects across Nordea
  • Support the delivery of leadership communication training
  • Communication strategy and implementation for Nordea's biggest investments and short-term change initiatives
  • Advise on one-off strategic projects and campaigns across Nordea.

This role can be based in any of the Nordic countries.

Your profile and background:

We're looking for a senior communicator with at least 5 years of experience in corporate communication with a large, international corporation. You have a degree in Communications or the equivalent.

  • In-depth experience from working with strategic change communication in a matrix organisation with high business complexity and preferable multi-cultural dimensions across multiple Nordic locations
  • Experience working as a communication advisor, and communicating complex issues in a simple and engaging manner
  • Operational experience in coordinating and implementing communication supporting business
  • Possess the right balance of political and business acumen to manoeuvre wisely among and collaborate with all parts of the organisation
  • Proven experience in leadership and change communication
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills; a natural and confident relationship builder and strong at stakeholder management
  • Proactive, robust with a strong personal drive and energy, always on top of things and aware of developments and upcoming challenges
  • Ability to prioritise work pragmatically, and with a business mindset.
  • Native level proficiency in English both spoken and written with the ability to write and communicate in a way that connects with your audiences.
