Senior Compliance Officer - Anti Money Laundering Compliance, Copenhagen/Stockholm/Helsinki/Oslo

We are looking for an experienced and skilled candidate to join Nordea's fight against financial crime and more specifically, against money laundering.

This is an opportunity to become part of a diverse Nordic and international team in Group Financial Crime Compliance. Financial Crime Compliance is a part of the bank's second line of defence, together with Group Risk and Compliance, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer.

Our team is spread across our four Nordic centres of Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki and Oslo, so there is flexibility in where you can be located.

Your future responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing advice on how to establish and maintain practical and effective financial crime controls
  • Contributing to the continual evolution of our policies and standards to ensure they are clear, effective and regulatory compliant
  • Providing high-quality written advice
  • Supporting and challenging our Business Area and Group Function stakeholders in their responsibility to comply with the Group's policies and standards
  • Guiding, supporting, advising and training Nordea's staff on their respective financial crime risk management responsibilities
  • Driving organisation, governance, quality and efficiency in the compliance advice process
  • Taking responsibility for maintaining your own knowledge and awareness of the regulatory and risk environment
  • Actively contributing to the creation of an energetic, collaborative and efficient team environment
  • Acting and advising in accordance with Nordea's values and sustainability principles

Your profile and background:

  • Professional knowledge and experience of risk management and compliance
  • Minimum 3 years' experience of management responsibility (people/processes/other)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional level English is essential. Professional level ability in a Nordic language in addition is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrable track-record of achieving positive outcomes, demonstrating collaboration, ownership, passion and courage
