At Nordea Finance (NF) we're currently undergoing several transformations which put new demands and enables new opportunities in our ways of working. We're on an exciting journey and need to strengthen our project management capacity with additional project managers (PM) to support us in our transformation. Your future responsibilities As a PM you will be responsible and manage various kinds of projects; business projects, projects containing an IT-element and projects cutting across several value streams, to name a few. You will have the overall responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating and delivering activities in NF projects and frequently you will be managing two projects concurrently. These projects could have a traditional set-up or be conducted in an agile set-up (Scrum and/or SAFe). While most of our projects are global, building solutions for the entire NF, some initiatives are still on a local scale, focusing on the unique need in a specific country. You will be part of the Project Management team, consisting of PMs working with key projects cross Nordea Finance. The Project Management unit is part of the Business Development organization which is responsible for developing the NF product offering and is the “one point of entry” for the country sales organisations to create global customer focused solutions. Business Development encompasses the key areas of Investment Credit, Consumer Finance and Factoring, operating within a SAFe execution model. What you will be doing:
  • Lead in a changing environment
  • Interact with stakeholders in all levels and areas of the organization
  • Ensure that project goals are well defined and are accomplished and aligned with business objectives and strategic directive
  • Identify, plan and execute activities required to meet those goals and procure and manage required resources
  • Monitor, coach, report and communicate major activities
  • Interact with SAFe capacity teams when required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by developing project management within the new ways of working

You have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably with solid insight in the financial sector. You have experience from operating in an agile environment, in addition, it's an advantage, if you also have experience of the SAFe model. Since English is our corporate language, you need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Other important qualifications:
  • Upper-level academic degree, Masters degree and project management certification(s)
  • Proven track record of successful projects
  • Expertise in a well-known project steering methodology as well as in agile ways of working
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience from working in a changing environment
  • Able to handle a wide variety of tasks simultaneously and efficiently and be able to define and prioritize goals and objectives
  • Self-directed and able to articulate complex topics to teams and management
  • Able to work independently and interact with a wide variety of stakeholders
